I don't know what's wrong with me lately. All I've really wanted to take pictures of is dirty brick walls. At least I have had the sense not to share any of them. This one I could not resist sharing, if only for President's Day weekend.

We were building in the snow, and every time we picked up a fallen stick to fasten an arm or bolster

Our daughter has been an avid bird-watcher for over a year now (it started in earnest with last year's birthday), and nothing gets her as excited as a male cardinal in the tree in front of our big window. No matter where I am in the house, I receive an urgent plea to come and look. This time I had my camera.
