A great thing about Detroit is that a dad with two kids on his bike is far from the strangest two-wheeled sight you might see on an average day. Take these two on their Townie, flying ahead of me all the way down Cass, ripping through red lights like nobody's business. Or these guys, blasting the classics wherever they go.

And did you read our neighbor's New York Times opinion?

This is now how we get home from the Saturday market. My wife became so envious of the popscycle that she went right out and bought a matching 1970 burgundy Schwinn breeze (one-speed). She had a big basket installed up front and a rack/child seat in the back. She took this photo on the way home.

A Week of Adventures

Okay, I don't want to write too much about the new bike and be all annoying about the new bike. But my God we've been having fun with it. I feel like a little kid. I think about it when I'm not in the room with it. When I am my wife catches me staring at it. So I have been restraining myself trying not to write about it. And that means writing about nothing at all.
