The poor guys doing that
ice house art project struggled all week to use hoses (and eventually a city fire hydrant) to get their house to freeze attractively in a constant battle with the sun. Meanwhile, down at the demolition site of the 1926 Lafayette Building, the guys from Adamo Demolition unintentionally turned the ground floor of the old skyscraper into an "ice house" simply by using the mist machines that keep down toxic particles during the demolition process. I love that bit of lovely old ornament peeking out from behind the slipcover and the ice.
